Wahl Lithium Pro Stubble Trimmer Review
As you may be aware stubble trimmers are becoming very popular at the moment. if you are looking for a “no frills” one at an affordable price, then check out the Wahl Lithium Pro Stubble Trimmer, as it is getting some great reviews. One of the guys here at the Emporium bought this one about a month ago, and he kindly agreed to give his a review on this. We also checked out other reviews just to make sure we had a balanced view of another product from the company Wahl.
As you can see it comes well presented and if it comes from this company, you can be pretty sure this is a good quality product made to good standards.
Main Features of the Trimmer
It is powered by Lithium-Ion batteries and that instantly makes it a good choice. These batteries have replaced the older NiCad batteries and in simple terms, Li-ion batteries have shorter charging times, hold their charge longer and therefore last longer. With this trimmer if you charge it for an hour, you get about 2 hours charge from it. If you are in a hurry even a minute of charging will give you 2-3 minutes of actual use, so that is very handy.
This trimmer comes with a handy little stand and also comes with a soft storage pouch which again is really handy to have.
In The Box
You get the trimmer, stand, pouch, 2 comb attachments, a transformer, cleaning brush, oil and the usual instructions. This is a nice compact kit and id in our opinion an ideal buy for people who do not want to spend a fortune on a trimmer, but still want it to do a really good job.
On The Face
When we asked Charlie about the actual user experience he said the thing that he liked the most was the way that this trimmer managed to get at all areas of the face. Many of the trimmers out there struggle to deal with the contours of the face. This one did not have that problem and he was able to tell us that it got around his face with some considerable ease.
He did not experience any hair pulling either and put that down to the quality of the blades. This trimmer is sharp and cuts quickly which avoids any risk of that horrible plucking feeling.
Overall Review of the Wahl Lithium Pro[easyazon_block add_to_cart=”default” align=”left” asin=”B00LPLM5FG” cloaking=”default” layout=”left” localization=”default” locale=”UK” nofollow=”default” new_window=”default” tag=”aguid-21″]This is a good little unit which works really well and is particularly easy to use. Any complaints are about the width of the cutting head and blade, and some reviewers said, they would have preferred this to be a little wider. We understand that and yes this could have been improved, but that of course would have increased the price. We can only assume that Wahl were trying to balance the price against the increased materials required.
The smaller size also has some distinct advantages as it allows you to be more accurate and get into the contours better. It is like anything else I guess, a question of one feature over the other.
We would not jump up and down about this trimmer, but for people who want a stubble trimmer at a decent price, this one will do the job. This is similar to any product in that you really do get what you pay for. You should be able to pick this one up in most stores for under £25 and for that you get a good enough product. The better trimmers cost around £45-60 so about twice the price. Just be aware of this when you are doing any comparisons as you need to really compare the price points.
In the main the reviews we found at Amazon were positive and any negative ones there didn’t actually say why they gave this a poor rating. They just said they thought Panasonic and Philips were better, but that is not a lot of information to go on. This product is at the lower end of the range, but overall appears to do a pretty good job.
