Gillette Fusion Proglide Review
The ProGlide from Gillette has been out since 2013, and in that particular year, it was voted product of the year. Since then it has gone on to sell in huge quantities and remains today a top selling product. It is advertised as a styler so it is not a beard trimmer in the truest sense. Mos people who bought this one did so because it is lightweight and ideal for travel.
It works really well on delivering nice close lines, trims really well and is really easy to use. It is not ideal for guys who have longer beards and want to keep those well trimmed. For those men you can check out my beard trimmer guide. There you will find much better choices for those with longer beard styles.
Main Features of the Fusion ProGlide
This styler comes with 3 different sized combs allowing you some choice in beard or facial hair length. It also has a nice edging blade and it is waterproof. This styler uses a single “AA” battery and a typical battery will last you around one month depending on the amount of use that it gets. It is safe to use as a wet shaver and also safe to use in the shower.
It comes with a neat little stand that keeps everything together.
The Fusion element of this is the signature 5-blade approach from Gillette which most men will be familiar with. Rather than just one blade doing the actual cutting and trimming, 5 blades which are close together run across the skin surface which ensures that one pass with the shaver will give a nice clean cut or trim.
The disadvantage of this particular styler is that it uses a cartridge and these are not cheap to replace. That is always the problem I have had with these types of shavers or stylers.
The initial product layout is not too expensive at £15, but a pack of replacement blades costs around £8 for a 4-pack. A typical cartridge will last around 2 weeks. That does however depend on the amount of usage, the toughness of your beard and what type of cream or gel that you are using.
Here is what one buyer over at Amazon said about this one,
We would not rate this styler in any of our top choices but many men do seem to like Gillette products and this one in particular. There are over 300 buyer reviews on Amazon and they rate it a very healthy average of 4.4 out of 5, which is a very high rating indeed. Sometimes it is hard to argue with simple facts like this.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What’s this? )
My son has tested this, and he is very pleased with it. It’s great for trimming and maintaining clean, precise lines, and is very easy to use. Perfect for travel, light and compact, it does the job for which it was intended. Have to say it arrived in a huge box, which it really didn’t need, but the product itself is small and neat. Easy to look after, easy to use, doesn’t really get any better than that!! Recommended.
We can not fault this product in terms of value for money as it is well priced, gets strong and consistent reviews and it is simple and easy to use. Gillette have teamed up with Braun to create this styler and they are certainly two well known brands in the shaving industry. Therefore we would not question in any way the quality of this product.
